During the test, you will walk on a treadmill while gradually increasing the intensity until you reach your “target heart rate”. Our expert cardiologist will monitor your ECG, heart rate, blood pressure, and rhythm throughout the procedure. If any concerning symptoms such as chest pain or abnormal blood pressure occur, or if you reach your target heart rate, the test will be stopped.
This procedure is generally safe, however, there may be slight risks associated with increased heart activity during exercise. Symptoms such as chest tightness, shortness of breath, or a sensation of strong heartbeats are common during exercise but typically resolve shortly after stopping.
