Dr. Rebecca Steingiesser is a dual-doctoral trained Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist with over a decade of experience in hospital, outpatient, and private practice settings. She is fully licensed with both the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Dr. Steingiesser completed her undergraduate, honours, and doctoral training at the University of Western Australia.
Based in the UAE for over five years, Dr. Steingiesser provides therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on mental health, emotional well-being, and family support. She tailors her approach using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and play therapy principles, always considering each client’s unique cultural and personal background.
As a Senior Paediatric Clinical Neuropsychologist, Dr. Steingiesser also specialises in neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents with cognitive, learning, or developmental challenges. She works closely with families, schools, and other professionals to support her clients’ academic and emotional growth.
Raised across Botswana, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia, Dr. Steingiesser considers herself a ‘third culture kid’ and brings a deep, personal understanding of cross-cultural adjustment, making her especially attuned to the needs of expatriate families and children navigating similar transitions.
